Chris Wright is one of the Friends of the Storey Gardens. He is also a professional actor, filmmaker and photographer who loves to sit in the gardens and enjoy the peace and tranquillity.

Light Up Lancaster - November 2022
In November 2022 the Storey Gardens was a venue for one of the installations of Light Up Lancaster. The installation was created by the artist Alison Smith and called The Nectary. Chris made a video showing the installation being set up and in operation.

Cherry picking – June 2022
In the summer of 2022 we had a bumper crop of cherries on the large cherry tree at the top of The Tasting Garden. Chris made a short video of us picking some of the fruit.

Heritage Opens Days – September 2021
Chris made two videos for the Heritage Open Days in September 2021. The theme for that year was “Edible England”.
The first of the two videos was made in advance of the Open Days and appeared on the Heritage Open Days website.
The second video was shot in the Storey Gardens during the two Saturdays in September 2021 when the Open Days were held.
