A peaceful haven within a busy city
One of our members, Chris Wright, has produced an 8 minute video for the Friends of the Storey Gardens. Chris is a professional actor, filmmaker and photographer who loves to sit in the gardens and enjoy the peace and tranquillity. Although he would quite like to have this secret garden to himself his video shows you three different routes to access the gardens.
Most of the filming was done in late Summer and Autumn 2020. The gardens were closed to the public and volunteers from 24 March until 10 August 2020. Hence, the grass in the video is still long, the paths overgrown and the bushes in need of pruning. Enjoy the birds singing, the flowers, fruits and wildlife. You can even imagine yourself joining Chris and Ben for a coffee at one of the tables now residing in the first garden.
