The Light Up Lancaster 2022 event was held on the evenings of Friday 4 and Saturday 5 November 2022.
There were light installations across the centre of Lancaster and the Storey Gardens was one of the venues. The Storey Gardens hosted an installation called The Nectary created by the artist Alison Smith. The installation consisted of 6 large illuminated imitation flowers suspended from the copper beech tree in the first garden. Visitors were invited to stand under one of the flowers to hear the sound of buzzing insects. The flowers were continually changing colours
The Friends of Storey Gardens welcomed thousands of visitors during the two evenings, guiding them around the Copper Beech Garden.
