The crowdfunding campaign on the Spacehive platform closed at the end of November 2023.
The Friends of the Storey Gardens (FOSG) were successful in reaching the revised target of £14,835. The Friends would like to express their thanks to all who donated. The money raised will fund more stone fruit sculptures in The Tasting Garden. Alan Ward has already started work on the first of these sculptures. This time it is an apple - Ribston Pippin. Ribston Pippin is a dessert apple originally grown in Yorkshire from the 18th century. It is possible that it is the parent of the better known Cox's Orange Pippin.
