Our Indian Bean tree produced seed pods this year. They were long and cylindrical, hanging vertically down. It is the first time we have seen pods on the tree.
Fungi In November three fungi were found growing on a rotting tree stump. Volunteers have identified two of these; Turkey tail (Trametes versicolor) was growing down the sides of the stump, Candlesnuff (Xylaria hypoxylon) in little groups down the sides and growing through the moss at the top. Not really wildlife sightings but in recent months the Storey Gardens have been visited by a number of cats. They are neither friendly nor scared of the gardeners. Below are a few photos of one of the cats. Comments are closed.
