Names engraved for the five new fruit sculptures

Back in May we reported that five more fruit sculptures had been installed in The Tasting Garden.  The names of the fruits have now been engraved on the stone plinths under each of the sculptures.

Alan Ward, who created the sculptures, did this in the garden.

Chris Wright was there with his camera when Alan was engraving the name under the Ribston Pippin apple.  See below some photos of Alan at work.  Click on an image to enlarge it.

Chris also took a couple of photos of the Golden Spire apple with its name already engraved.
