This year’s theme is “Everyday Histories” exploring daily working life though the ages.
The Friends of the Storey Gardens will be holding two events during the England wide Heritage Open Days festival.
One will be a combined event with The Storey.
There will be information boards in The Tasting Garden workshed (folly) and by the stained glass windows in The Storey.
The Storey and the gardens will be freely open to the public 9 am to 5 pm every day over the festival except for Sunday 13 September when they will be closed.
On Saturday 12 September and Saturday 19 September, volunteer gardeners will be present in the gardens to talk to visitors between 10 am and 4 pm.

The second event will be on Saturday 19 September.
The Friends of the Storey Gardens will be hosting a talk by Gregory Wright, awarding winning Blue Badge Tourist Guide. Gregory will trace the gardens’ history, and the people who lived and worked here, from early roots to the creation of The Tasting Garden artwork by international artist, Mark Dion.
