On Friday 11th May the Friends of the Storey Gardens hosted a visit by two lecturers from the History of Art department and seven students studying curating and art history. Their recent focus has been the work of Mark Dion.
In addition to learning about the creation of The Tasting Garden, the challenges of maintaining the garden and fundraising to restore the artwork, they participated in a work session.
As a result the Arboriculturalist’s work shed has been cleaned and tidied inside, windows cleaned and undercoat applied to the door and one window frame. The butterfly border is now looking smarter and the base around some of the fruit trees is weed free.
