The Storey Gardens were officially opened by The Right Worshipful the Mayor of the City of Lancaster, Councillor Roger Mace on Saturday 24th March 2018.
Friends of the Storey Gardens (FOSG) volunteers have been maintaining the gardens and working in partnership with Lancaster City Council to make this city centre green space open once more.
The ceremony celebrated completion of the work to secure and improve access to the gardens, made possible by a grant from the Lancashire Environmental Fund (LEF).
The Storey Gardens are now open Monday to Saturday (excluding Bank Holidays) 9am to 4pm March – October and 10am to 3pm November – February. Admission is free and access is through The Storey building or from the entrance in Castle Hill opposite the castle.
