Chris Wright is one of the Friends of the Storey Gardens.  He is also a professional actor, filmmaker and photographer who loves to sit in the gardens and enjoy the peace and tranquillity.

Since 2020 he has made a series of videos of the Storey Gardens.  Thanks Chris.

Cherry picking – June 2022

In the summer of 2022 we had a bumper crop of cherries on the large cherry tree at the top of The Tasting Garden. Chris made a short video of us picking some of the fruit.

Copper Beech Tree – June 2022

In June 2022 Chris made a video of the huge copper beech tree in the first of the two gardens.

Light Up Lancaster – November 2021

In November 2021 the Storey Gardens was a venue for one of the installations of Light Up Lancaster.  Chris made a video showing the installation being set up and in operation.

Heritage Opens Days – September 2021

Chris made two videos for the Heritage Open Days in September 2021.  The theme for that year was “Edible England”.

The first of the two videos was made in advance of the Open Days and appeared on the Heritage Open Days website.

The second video was shot in the Storey Gardens during the two Saturdays in September 2021 when the Open Days were held.
