Come and join the Friends of the Storey Gardens on Saturday 15th February from 10am to 2pm and see the display of yellow crocuses.
Over 4,000 crocus bulbs were planted in The Tasting Garden in October 2019. We planted three different varieties:
- Dutch Yellow Mammoth – large flowered, bright yellow
- Dorothy – dainty goblet shaped flowers in light yellow
- Fuscotinctus – fragrant golden yellow goblet shaped flowers with purple markings on the outer petals
Money for these bulbs came from a donation by the late Roger Mace who, as Mayor of Lancaster, re-opened the gardens in March 2018.
